Thai herbal ball massage

This is a herbal massage using muslin cloth that are filled with special blends of therapeutic herbs.

This is a very popular massage in Thailand and we use the same techniques. The balls we import from Thailand as well as make our own from local herbs.
The muslin cloth is steamed so that the healing and soothing properties of the herbs are intensified. This herbal ball is then used with warm oil rubbed onto the body. It induces deep relaxation, relieves stress and fatigue, boosts both emotional and physical well-being, assists alignment and postural integrity of the body, improves circulation of blood and lymph and stimulates the internal organs.

Benefits

The Thai Herbal Ball compress technique offers several potential health benefits:  The hot compresses are ideal for alleviating pain, stiff, sore or pulled muscles and ligaments, chronic back aches, arthritis, even skin conditions, migraines and chronic stress or anxiety.  The blend of traditional Thai herbs used in these compresses has a relaxing and invigorating effect on the body and mind, soothing sore and overworked muscles while giving the body’s energy reserves a huge boost.

The benefits from the Thai herbal Ball Massage can be attributed to the herbs used for making the herbal ball. As the herbal ball is heated before the massage, it helps radiate heat dilating the blood vessels in the body increasing the amount of blood and oxygen circulating. The body’s muscles and organs work more efficiently as increased oxygen is available.

Acu Therapeutic Bed

This bed is designed ergonomically to give a soothing yet powerful massage. Pressure rollers move three dimensionally over the large muscle groups concentrating on the body’s Tsubo pressure points on the meridian lines.

There are 365 Tsubo pressure points(also called acupressure and acupuncture points) these are “energy hotspots” where energy collects.

Meridians are undetectable to the naked eye, they influence every organ and physiological system in the body. Meridians carry energy throughout the body, similar to the way arteries carry blood. This energy is often referred to as chi, qi or prana.

Through the flow of energy, meridians bring balance to the body. They remove energetic blocks, excesses and imbalances, regulate metabolism and support cellular health, their flow is as important as the flow of blood.

Warm Wax Treatments

Wax therapy is one of the most effective ways of applying heat to the small muscle of the hands and feet. The heat from the wax penetrates the joints in combination with moisturising to give a healthy and soft skin.

A wax spa takes advantage of the ingredients heat-retaining capacity in a simple process called heat transfer. In technical terms, heat is transferred to the core of the affected area as wax goes through a phase change. As it melts in the bath, the wax becomes a liquid and is able to retain more heat. The wax is intended to completely cover the hands or feet and when they are dipped into the heated bath, the phase of the wax that surrounds the dipped area quickly changes and solidifies into a comforting wax coating. The heat that is given off is called the heat of fusion. The hands/feet are then enclosed in warm towels for 10-15 minutes to take full benefit of this heat.
